Community coffee mornings to combat loneliness

It’s a great discredit to our generation that so many live alone and never see anyone from one week to the next, apart from the doctor or a carer.
Most contact is always time-pressured.
St Martin’s monthly community coffee morning from 10 am till noon on the first Saturday of the month which provides an opportunity to get out and meet new people and make new friends.
Branch Manager, Karen Breyley in Torbay can arrange to take people with mobility or transport problems to this and other events: “There are many events in and around Torbay and we have established links with the Ageing Well project and their networks which advertise all sorts of community events and activities.”
We also have volunteers who will assist.
