If you have decided that live-in care is the best solution for you, then there is a solution that every family is entitled to. This is called the ‘Direct Payment’ scheme which every council has. This basically gives places the funding of care into the hands of the family, enabling them to select the care provider they prefer and the level of care they feel suitable.
The council will assess the needs of your loved one and determine an amount as a budget you to use. This can be anything from £50 up to £600 per week depending on your needs and finances. Our branch manager will be able to assist you in obtaining the funding that you might be entitled to.

How can I save money?
All our Friends – professional carers and service providers are genuinely self-employed, have enhanced DBS checks. They choose their availability, when they work and the rate that they charge you, either on a hourly or by the session for longer periods.
Typically a traditional care company will charge you between £17.50 and £20.00 per hour and you’ll often get a carer on minimum wage that you don’t know – and someone who doesn’t know you, your requirements, likes and dislikes and is pressurised to finish their visit as quickly as possible. Unfortunately this scenario is all too familiar for many.
Our approach is different from the norm. We’re focused on your requirements and can do so much more when it comes to providing services that makes living at home so much easier. We provide you flexibility and choice.
