Celebrating Excellence: Devon Women in Business Awards 2025

On Friday 14th November 2025, the Devon Women in Business (DWIB) Awards brought together inspiring individuals from across Devon for an evening of recognition, celebration, and connection. Held at the magnificent Sandy Park Conference Centre in Exeter, the event marked the 5th annual DWIB Awards, an occasion dedicated to shining a spotlight on outstanding contributions in business.

The ceremony wasn’t just about celebrating successful female-led enterprises, it also honoured the people working behind the scenes, the supportive colleagues, and the dedicated employees who make businesses thrive. This year’s categories included Female Employee of the Year, Best Supporting Act, and many more.

Devon Women in Business

Hazel Anderson:
Winning Employee of the Year

One of the standout moments of the evening was Hazel Anderson, our very own HR and Marketing Manager, being awarded Female Employee of the Year. This is a phenomenal achievement, reflecting not just her hard work, but her dedication, initiative, and the positive impact she has made within our organisation.

Hazel has consistently gone above and beyond in her role, from leading HR processes and supporting recruitment, to driving our marketing efforts with creativity and purpose. Her colleagues speak highly of her proactive attitude and her ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the company. Winning this award is a well-deserved acknowledgment of her valuable contribution, and it highlights our belief that supporting and investing in our team is at the heart of what we do.

Andrew Richardson:
Highly Commended for Best Supporting Act

Another proud moment from the night came when Andrew Richardson was highly commended in the Best Supporting Act category. This award recognises a partner, colleague, or friend who provides exceptional support to a Devon woman in business and Andrew’s recognition speaks volumes.

As someone who works tirelessly behind the scenes, Andrew’s encouragement, wisdom, and genuine commitment have been a crucial pillar of strength. Whether it’s offering strategic input, championing our mission, or being a sounding board for big decisions, his support has been invaluable. Being highly commended in this category is a testament to his dedication and the profound impact he has had on our journey.

Reflections on the Evening

The DWIB Awards evening was more than just a ceremony, it was a powerful reminder of the community that exists in Devon, driven by collaboration, mentorship, and mutual support. The event, held in the elegant Estuary Suite at Sandy Park, featured not only the awards themselves but also a magical performance by close-up magician Richard John MMC, adding an extra sparkle to the celebration.

The awards are judged by DWIB founders Louise Jenner and Maureen Townsend, along with Emma Woodward, in partnership with category sponsors. Proceeds from the evening also supported Devon Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Services (DCRSAS) via a raffle, underscoring the evening’s spirit of community and care.

Thank you to Devon Women in Business for organising such a remarkable evening and for championing so many brilliant individuals across the county.
