An afternoon of fun and glamour awaits in this beautiful 1920s seafront ballroom, with dancers of all ages twirling their way around the dance floor.
At this special Afternoon Social Tea Dance there will be an assortment of popular Ballroom, Latin and Sequence Dance favourites from Mark Helmore (Weston’s most popular ‘music man’) who has kindly volunteered as the music host.
The purpose of the afternoon is to raise funds for Age UK Somerset, specifically for their Ageing Well service which delivers a wide variety of movement classes, providing opportunities to stay active and social across Somerset and North Somerset.
The event has been kindly sponsored by Trinity Homecare.
There will be a demonstration of dancing from Age UK Somerset’s class participants*, and a raffle with fabulous prizes. Reasonably priced coffee, tea and cake will be available.
Whether you want to join in the dancing or just sit, listen to the music and watch in good company, you will be sure to have a wonderful time.
There is a reduced ticket price for non-dancers.
Come in a group, come with a partner or come on your own!
Everyone will receive warm welcome.

The afternoon will promote the work of Age UK Somerset (also covering North Somerset) and there will be a raffle with all proceeds going to support the work of the Ageing Well service. This department provides opportunities to stay social and active at over 80 exercise sessions every week throughout Somerset and North Somerset.
Age UK Somerset is a local and independent registered Charity (no. 1015900) that makes later life better with the services it offers:
- promoting health and wellbeing;
- fun and fitness with Ageing Well exercise sessions
- offering advice and information;
- preventing falls through strength and balance sessions;
- providing support for people living with dementia;
- keeping toenails trimmed, safe and comfortable, and
- tackling the issue of loneliness through providing volunteer visitors and group activities.
