Friends Helping at Home – North Devon

Opened in Spring 2026, the North Devon branch represents the newest extension of the Friends Helping at Home family. Our coverage spans the entirety of the North Devon and Torridge area, including the towns of Barnstaple, Bideford, Torrington, and Ilfracombe, as well as all neighbouring communities. 

We work in partnership with self-employed service providers, carefully matching their skill sets and personalities to the individual needs and preferences of our clients. This collaborative approach ensures that each person receives tailored support in line with their wishes. Our goal is to become a trusted and valued part of the local community, following the successful model established by our other branches. We are dedicated to enabling people to live safe and happy lives within the comfort of their own homes. We are committed to helping people live their best lives.

    I’ve spent more than 35 years working in social care, including being a Registered Nurse, supporting people across a wide range of ages and support needs, and leading teams of all sizes in a range of community settings. I am delighted to join the Friends Helping at Home family, as Director of the new North Devon branch. I bring to Friends Helping at Home, not only an extensive depth of expertise but also a commitment to shared values. I am dedicated to achieving excellence both personally and in supporting others to reach their full potential. I truly believe that our focus on person-centred care and our innovative working methods are the way forward to enable greater happiness and wellbeing for both clients and service providers alike.
