Purple Angel Dementia Memory Café at the Roundhill Road, Street Party Saturday 8th June
The Torbay Branch of Friends Helping at Home is pleased to be supporting the Roundhill Road Street Party community event this Saturday.
Torbay Branch Director, Karen Breyley: “The street party is organised by Ageing Well Torbay, and we will have a stall at the event again this year and will be fund raising to support the work of Purple Angel.”
Friends Helping at Home are supporting Purple Angel who fund a range of activities and support, free of charge, for those suffering from dementia. This includes: providing MP3 players a regular memory café and trips out.

“We are pleased to be associated with Purple Angel having seen the positive effect that this network has. Purple Angel provide support and lots of information. Purple Angel provide MP3 players free of charge.
There’s been lots of great feedback from this initiative, listening to old favourites makes a positive difference.
I personally find dementia really scary as a progressive disease, so it’s good to know the support that’s out there and that there are ways of improving lives.
Purple Angel rely on lots of small donations. For example, a few pounds pays for the Memory Café that’s held every Saturday (except the first Saturday of the month) at Barton Baptist Church from 1.30-3.30pm”
The Livermead Street Party is an all-age family event with various activities with live music, a dog show, a “bake-off”, refreshments and much more. We hope to see you there.
